Louis Mandylor is truly a talented individual who has worked on more than 60 television shows and film productions for almost 2 decades in Hollywood. Starting out as an actor he has now added producer, writer and director to his resume. Louis began his career as a professional boxer and soccer player in Australia. With the dream of being the champ of the world. Louis decided to visit his brother Costas who had established himself as an actor a little earlier in America. After a small time gym hopping, Louis stumbled into an acting class and his life changed forever. "If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans," Louis remarks. After a small role in China Beach in 1989 Louis began to work consistently. He now has a long list of credits from NECESSARY ROUGHNESS to the $400 million dollar highest grossing romantic comedy of all time, the independent sensation MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING.

Along this journey Louis worked with some great directors and actors such as David Anspaugh-- the award winning director of HOOSIERS, RUDY and THE MIRACLE MATCH (which Louis starred in opposite 300 Spartans star Gerald Butler).

With this knowledge and love for storytelling plus the numerous connections Louis has made over the years he felt it was time to create his own product. After the completion of the hit tv show MARTIAL LAW that Louis starred in opposite Hong Kong legend Sammo Hung, he opened his first production company and began producing a series of films. His first two projects were festival winners: "MY BROTHER CICERO" which won best independent film at SOCIETES DES AUTEURS AWARD 1998 Brussels Independent Film Festival, and BEST SHORT FILM AT 1999 NEW YORK UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL. The handsome Greek/Australian born actor also made his first feature film starring himself and his brother Costas Mandylor, entitled JIMMY BONES. Jimmy Bones went on to win NYFVF 2002 INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL IN NEW YORK, and in Los Angeles it won BEST ACTION audience award... Louis then went on to sign a deal with CAA and Tribune Entertainment where he created and directed in partnership with John Leekly (Emmy winner Spawn) to shoot a pilot presentation for a show entitled UNDERWORLD.

Louis recently sold his original production company ABUNDANCE PRODUCTIONS and opened KRAKATAU FILMS LLC. He has recently completed four films with his new company:

  • JOEY: a film made for mentoring young filmmakers, which is in post production.
  • THE CURSED: a supernatural thriller which was at CANNES and will be released late 2008.
  • IN THE EYES OF A KILLER: Produced and directed by Louis, this film is still in post production but was good enough for three nominations at the Hoboken International Film Festival as well as earning Louis the BEST ACTOR award!! "EYES" will ALSO be released in late 2008.
  • GERALD: This is the fourth film Louis and Krakatau have in post. It is a wonderfull heartfelt comedy about a child trapped in an adults body, life without his best friend and life support, his mother.
Mr. Mandylor has also recently secured a deal with TRI COAST INTERNATIONAL to produce and star in an action film to be shot in late 2008 in AUSTRALIA. At present, Louis has been commissioned to write a screenplay. Upon funding he will also direct the five million dollar independently financed action film titled A GOOD YEAR FOR THE OUTLAW. Amongst all of this, the talented entrepreneur is currently launching a DIGITAL CINEMA STUDIO, ETFILMZ-- with the very first online action webisodes.
